Soma Sonora is an immersive sound performance project exploring listening as an embodied, spatial, and collective experience. Rooted in practices of deep listening, somatic perception, and contemporary sound performance, the work invites audiences into environments where sound is not only heard but physically felt.
Through voice, sustained tones, layered textures, low-frequency elements, and immersive visuals, Soma Sonora creates durational listening sessions that shift perception from passive reception to active presence. The performance unfolds as a shared sonic field, encouraging heightened awareness of sound as material, space, and movement.
Rather than functioning as a concert or narrative composition, Soma Sonora operates as a listening situation — one that allows sound to act directly on the body and nervous system. The work supports altered modes of attention, expanded sensory awareness, and a refined relationship to sound as a physical phenomenon.
Soma Sonora can adapt to a range of contexts, including experimental music festivals, sound art programs, galleries, clubs, and site-responsive environments, while maintaining its core focus on immersion, embodiment, and collective listening.
Stelina Apostolopoulou is a Greek-based vocalist, performer, and interdisciplinary artist whose work explores the intersections of contemporary vocal practice, trans-cultural music traditions, and immersive sound experiences.
Originally trained as a lyric soprano in Greece, she developed an artistic approach that moves beyond classical performance and engages with diverse musical cultures, extended vocal techniques, movement, and collective listening practices.
Stelina has performed in productions at the Athens Concert Hall and the Greek National Opera, and has participated in international festivals including the Ludwigsburg Festival, KunstFestSpiele Herrenhausen, Infektion! Festival for New Music Theatre at the Staatsoper Berlin, Musiktheatertage Wien, Mittelfest, and the Chios Music Festival.
Her artistic collaborations include La Fura dels Baus, Sing Akademie zu Berlin, Babylon Orchestra, Ensemble Mosatrïc, Glanz & Krawall, Medimus Ensemble, and Die Kleine Barockband. Through these collaborations she has developed a practice centered on the relationship between voice, space, resonance, and cultural plurality.
In her current work, Stelina combines vocal performance, sound-based practices, and interdisciplinary artistic formats to create immersive environments that invite deep listening and expanded modes of perception.
Konstantinos Chronis is a Berlin-based sound artist, composer, and music producer whose work investigates the transformative potential of sound through experimental composition, spatial listening, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Born in Greece and later relocating to Berlin, he began his artistic journey within the field of techno before gradually expanding his practice to include ambient, experimental electronic music, hip-hop textures, and sound art. His compositions are characterized by layered sonic structures, atmospheric depth, and a strong sensitivity to emotional and spatial perception.
Influenced by Berlin's contemporary art and music scene, Chronis develops project-specific sonic environments that evolve through collaboration with musicians, visual artists, performers, and interdisciplinary creators. This adaptability has become a defining feature of his practice, allowing each work to open new dimensions while maintaining a distinctive sonic identity.
His artistic approach is informed by both musical and conceptual influences, including the cinematic sound worlds of Vangelis and the experimental and interdisciplinary thinking associated with Marcel Duchamp. These references shape his interest in sound not only as a musical medium but also as a space for reflection, presence, and sensory exploration.
For immersive and site-responsive projects, Chronis creates compositions and live sound environments that interact with architecture, visual elements, and performative action, contributing to collective experiences of deep listening and contemporary sonic culture.
